When I couldn’t find the perfect “summer camp” cycling trip, I created it. I started by leading friends to Spain in 2022 and have been going back since. VIBE Tours is how I share our fun with riders everywhere.

My background is in documentary films where I did a lot of work overseas. Hosting a bike trip is a lot like producing a movie — logistically demanding, and often exhilarating. Cycling and verité filmmaking require total immersion. On a fast descent you can’t multitask: You’re focused yet joyous, in the flow.

Our motto is “RIDE. EXPLORE. VIBE.” For me that means giving you amazing days on the bike and journeying with a sense of discovery. We include special revelations every day—things like exquisite local cuisine, musical performances, mountaintop cafés, and cycling champions dropping in to ride.

Steve Dorst

FOUNDER & CEO
Frustrated with cookie-cutter corporate cycling tours, Steve started organizing his own — first for his local club and then for VIBE Tours. “Changing a single detail — inviting an awesome Pro Host — makes the trip so much better,” he says. Steve studied and worked in France, Italy, Belgium, and Cameroon before earning a Master’s in Economics from Johns Hopkins. He founded Dorst MediaWorks in 2002, and is a co-founder of the L.A.–based Perpetuo Films. Steve has traveled to 71 countries for work and play.

CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Evan is the first hire at VIBE Tours, and manages day-to-day operations. Based in New York City, he is a communications and business professional who has worked in sustainability, hospitality, and solar energy. He was a founding editor of Policy Innovations, an online international relations magazine published by Carnegie Council. As a former Board member of Climate Ride, Evan loves to advocate for cycling and the environment. He graduated from Duquesne University with a degree in philosophy.
